• Supply renters with log of emergency phone numbers including the nearest hospital, doctor, property management company, electrician, plumber etc….Post these numbers in a conspicuous place so in a crisis time is saved.
• Even if local regulations don't require fencing around pool areas, families with children will appreciate this feature.
• Ensure good outdoor lighting is used to prevent falls in the dark.
• Leave explicit directions on how to operate any machinery in your home.  This is especially true of any hot tub you may have.  Equipment like dishwashers and washers and dryers also require direction as visitors from other countries may require extra support.

Renters have opted to stay in your home as opposed to a sterile hotel for a family feel.  For this reason:

• Leave toys for the children (and adults!) including bicycles, golf clubs, a paddling pool, buckets and shovels, spare skis or anything else you can spare
• Have a BBQ available for renters use.  Give a starter pack of charcoal and lighter fluid or a full propane tank as appropriate.
• Leave sufficient towels for your guests – at least two per guest.  Hand towels and face cloths are also appreciated.

• Leave beach chairs/umbrellas for renters use
• You may want to leave a compendium of local restaurants/bars/clubs that come recommended – allow your guests to add to this list as they explore the area
