Nestled in the beautiful lower Shenandoah Valley along the Potomac, the Thomas Shepherd Inn B&B is a place where life slows down long enough for you to enjoy it.

As part of the hospitality at the Thomas Shepherd Inn B&B, we are pleased to offer you full breakfasts in the morning along with beverages and biscotti for early risers. Our full breakfasts consist of a fruit course, an entree, and fresh baked goods. Guests have recently enjoyed hot cranberry-apple compote with a tomato/mushroom/cheese omelet and local sausage links with banana-chocolate chip muffins; another morning's menu consisted of fresh fruit in lemon-mint syrup and blueberry-pecan French toast with crisp local bacon and cranberry muffins. We are happy to accommodate special diets or food allergies - just let us know what your needs are when you make your reservation.

Our breakfasts are typically served family style from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. but if your schedule requires special arrangements please let us know and we'll do our best to work with you. Early beverage service (coffee, tea or decaf) with homemade biscotti is available at 7:00 a.m.

The Inn is furnished comfortably with appointments appropriate for the age and architecture of the house. Especially appealing to our guests who are traveling in groups are the spacious common areas here, like the large living room with several seating areas and a fireplace and the guest library and porch which offer books and quiet relaxation. We are happy to work with you to arrange group dinners or recommend restaurants in the area for your dining pleasure.

Rental Policies and Forms of Payment

With a Saturday night or holiday booking we ask that you join us for at least a two-night stay at the weekend rate. Government rates, AARP discounts and military discounts are available on weekdays only and are not available during the CATF.

These rates are per night and assume 2 guests per room. A $20 fee is required for 3 guests staying in the same room.

These rates are subject to change without notice.

Room 1 with red toile decor and an electric fireplace, is a favorite for romantic getaways.

Our garden view room, Room 6, has a canopy bed and a clawfoot tub.

Room 2 has a cozy queen sleigh bed and a loveseat for two
