The Lodge is located in the saddle of the Rio Coloradito and the Rio Corinto, right next to the Pico Bonito National Park at the foot of the Nombre de Dios Mountain Range. The lodge is literally in the middle of the rainforest in a former coffee and cacao plantation. We have a butterfly farm on site, an orange orchard, paths through the park, and three observation towers from which to get a birds-eye view of the rainforest. We are 20 minutes from the La Ceiba airport.

The Lodge at Pico Bonito is a luxurious and exciting ecolodge in the buffer zone of the largest national park and rainforest in Honduras. The Lodge offers a landscaped outdoor swimming pool, gourmet restaurant and bar, tropical massage, solicitous bilingual staff, expert guides, and a beautiful butterfly sanctuary and nursery, set against the backdrop of the towering peaks of the Nombre de Dios Mountain Range. From the Lodge, guests can conveniently explore the hidden wonders of a pristine rainforest by foot or mountain bike, raft the exciting Cangrejal River, explore the Caribbean coast on horseback, view over 300 species of birds, and boat through the Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge to see the exotic wildlife. The coral reefs of the Bay Islands and Cayos Cochins Biological Marine Reserve are less than 35 miles away, and the Lodge is happy to help its guests arrange a snorkeling, scuba diving or dolphin swimming excursion. Overnight trips to the Mayan ruins of Copan are also easily arranged.

Standard Cabin
Standard cabin has two possible configurations. Some standard cabins are single cabins with two queen beds. The other standard cabins are part of a two-cabin structure with two double beds. The two-cabin structures have an interior door that can connect the cabins or can be kept locked: perfect for a large family (up to 8 people). Newly furnished in plantation style, each standard cabin has a private bathroom with a shower and a private veranda. Approximate standard cabin size is 40 sq meters or 415 sq. feet.

Superior Cabin
Superior cabin is a single cabin with a King bed, sitting area, and desk. Newly furnished in plantation style, each superior cabin has a private bathroom with a shower and a private bathroom with handpainted mexican sink and tile. The private terrace has a hanging hammock where you can elect to have your breakfast brought to you. The approximate size is 40 sq. meters or 415 sq. feet. The towels, sheets and bedspreads are all white, the interior is wood.
