The longest running resort in the Caribbean, it is both historic and modern, blending old world charm with warm hospitality and contemporary amenities.
The property offers a variety of amenities and activities and is only five minutes to dining, shopping and sightseeing in Christiansted. Resort dining options include The Terrace, open-air dining in the Great House, for complimentary full breakfast for all guests and classical Caribbean cuisine for dinner (dinner dress code is collard shirts and knee-length shorts or slacks for gentlemen, and casual chic for women), The Mermaid for an extensive lunch menu beachside and The Grotto Grill for a casual option for burgers and hot dogs beach and poolside.
The resort offers three beaches, two swimming pools, an 18-hole golf course and pro shop, eight tennis courts, two of which are lit, a watersports center, a fitness center and the Hideaway Spa, offering massage, wraps and other holistic body treatments. All guests have complimentary use of snorkeling equipment, kayaks, floating masks and introductory SCUBA lessons. Kids Camp is complimentary for children ages 4-12.
All 138 rooms are designed and furnished to be an intimate retreat, reflecting the timeless elegance of The Buccaneer. Each room features a private patio or balcony for enjoyment of the spectacular views and cooling breeze. Amenities include air conditioners, small refrigerators, safes, hairdryers, TVs, iron/ironing boards, coffeemakers, shower/bathtubs, double sinks and ceiling fans. Some rooms have whirlpool tubs.
