Trout Creek is a brand new, secluded mountain chalet on a beautful, stocked trout stream. It's beautiful, quiet and private, with a whole mountain to explore and not another cabin in sight. It has a great room with fireplace, two sets of sliding doors going out to the deck, and an entertainment area. Up in the loft is a king size bed, full bathroom, walk-in closet, and reading nook. Downstairs is another bedroom with twin beds and a full bath. The upscale, ell-equipped kitchen and laundry room are off the great room. Outside, on the multi-level deck are a Weber grill, picnic table, hammock, and stairs going down to the creek.
Not only are you in a lovely chalet, but the area around you is beyond awesome. There are two lakes nearby...Fontana and Santeetlah. Rent a pontoon boat at the nearby marina, and spend the day fishing, exploring, or just admiring the gorgeous views. Take the Cherohala Skyline and admire the vistas including a nice waterfall or two. Go to the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and hike to virgin trees that are older than you can imagine. A short drive over to Bryson City and Cherokee will bring you to the Great Smokies Railroad, the entrance to the national park, tubing at Deep Creek, and more. A short drive in the opposite direction, and you're at the Nantahala Gorge. Go whitewater rafting, exploring, or check out the waterfalls. More? In less than two hours, you can visit Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and The Biltmore Mansion.
There's so much to see and do in this area, but the best thing of all is to just "chill out" at Trout Creek and let the rest of the world fade away.
