Our garden is large, about one acre, with flowers, picnic tables and play equipment for children. There is a selection of board games and books which you can read as you enjoy a quiet evening in front of the fireplace - firewood supplied!
There is a river for fishing and there are trails through the woods, if you enjoy walking and hiking. We have some small farm animals that you may enjoy - baby goats, ducklings and breeding poultry.
St. Thomas has the charm of a small town and is a community known for friendly people, easy, inexpensive living in safe neighbourhoods with abundant, accessible parkland and community facilities. Southwestern Ontario is an agricultural area growing corn, tobacco, soya beans and lots of dairy and beef farming.
By car you can explore this beautiful area of Southern Ontario, which has several beaches, wineries, quaint villages and the weekly Farmer's market at the nearby town of Aylmer. We are a 5 minute drive from the centre of the town of St Thomas, with its Railway Museum, statue of Jumbo the Elephant (who met an untimely death here in 1885). Visitor information services, attractions, shopping and dining facilities are all nearby.
There are several Provincial Parks and Conservation Areas close by where you can enjoy the outdoors, canoeing, hiking, fishing or sitting in the shade doing nothing!
