Sosua Vacation Rentals and Hotels

Sosua, Dominican Republic is actually comprised of two villages, separated by the Sosua Bay: Los Charamicós and El Batey. Los Charamicós was once a fishing village but now is home to the many Dominicans involved in the tourism industry. El Batey was formed as a refuge for Nazi-persecuted Jews during the Holocaust, but today's El Batey is a major tourist center with brand-new hotels and lots of attractions. Sosua Beach, one kilometer long and made up of fine white sand, provides opportunities for swimming, surfing, fishing, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, waterskiing, sailing, jet-skiing, and many other water sports. As part of the Dominican Republic, Sosua has the diversity the Caribbean is famous for, with its population made up of settlers from Germany, Austria, America, and Canada, among others. Sosua, famous worldwide for its nightlife, has plenty of discotheques and dance clubs offering parties all night long.

Accommodations in Sosua range from small hotels to large all-inclusive resorts, and dining is just as varied. Many local Dominican dishes are served, as well as excellent seafood in some Sosua restaurants. Los Charamicós and El Batey are great vacation spots for all types, full of excitement and Caribbean charm.
