The Roundthorn Country House is a Grade II Listed Georgian Mansion, set in its own landscaped grounds, with panoramic views of the Eden Valley, Pennines and Lakeland Fells and overlooking the busy market town of Penrith. Roundthorn is located in an extremely peaceful and secluded environment yet only minutes from the M6 and A66. All the bedrooms here at the Roundthorn Country House Hotel are unique in character and furnished to the highest standard. Each of our bedrooms have en-suite bath or shower room, direct dial telephone, tv, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Many of our rooms have spectacular outlooks over the beautiful Eden Valley, all are spacious and tastefully decorated. The house has its own bar lounge and a cosy residents lounge, with a real fire in the winter.

Restaurant / Dining Information - Roundthorn's 'Great Cumbrian Breakfast', served in the Eden Room each morning, is the perfect start for even the most demanding of days, and after a busy day on the fells, in the office or at your meeting you can relax in our bar or cosy Residents Lounge. The hotel does not have a restaurant but does offer a Supper Menu that can be served Sunday to Thursday in the Bar/Lounge or in your room. Alternatively there are scores of great places we can recommend locally for an evening meal from great Pub Food in picturesque local villages to Italian Bistros, Curry Houses and some excellent Chef-owned restaurants. We have a selection of menus from some of our own favourite 'haunts' in Reception for you to look through, and we would be more than happy to make a booking on your behalf if required.
