Close enough to town, but next to nothing, this stilted river cottage is the ideal retreat in the mountains. During your stay you can slip into the 5 person hot tub on the front deck only a couple of feet from the Tuckasegee River in Dillsboro, NC. The thoughtful orientation of this modest-sized (under 800 sq. feet) cabin keeps the river-song in your ears and heart. The king sized poster bed has a pillow top mattress and boasts a perfect view of a high-definition wide screen TV with surround sound home theatre speakers. Bring your favorite DVD's or enjoy the cable system. The central heating and air keeps you warm for winter and cool for the summer. This nearly 1/2 acre lot is a pastoral retreat nestled beneath a blanket of shade trees behind a wide gate. A second efficiency bedroom has a twin over a queen built in bunk. There is one central bathroom. The den/kitchen has a futon for 2. This brings the sleeping to 7. A washer and dryer, refrigerator with ice maker, microwave oven, coffee maker and more will make you feel right at home. Walk 1/2 mile into Dillsboro to shop or canoe the river. Come enjoy a calm retreat in the Smoky Mountains.

PAYMENT: A reservation deposit equal to 50% of the total rental amount will be due 10 days from the time of reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to the arrival date. Master Card & Visa are accepted. Personal checks are accepted up to 30 days before arrival date.

SECURITY DEPOSIT of $100-$500: Will be secured by holding a credit card number. Deposits may be used to repair damages or to replace missing contents.

LODGING PROTECTION PROGRAM: For your protection, we offer insurance that protects you against monetary loss due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness and injuries that may necessitate the cancelling of your reservation.

WATER: Most units are on a well or spring. Please use the water conservatively as unlike municipal water, the supply is limited.

WHAT TO BRING: We recommend that you bring all paper products, trash bags, detergents, toiletries, beach towels and charcoal for grills.
