Comments:
The website shows a stupendous place with gorgeous rooms and bathrooms. The room was pleasant but was small and did not have much room for us to put away our clothes. The bathroom was very tight and again did not offer space to place our things. Silver service? No. Poster beds? No. Piazzas to sit on and look at gardens? No.
The owner was cool at best and the manager, while extremely friendly, was new and not knowledgeable at all. We have travelled extensively and have stayed at numerous inns and bed and breakfasts. Phoebe Pember has a good location but is not worth the money spent. It is quite a disappointment. It is not lovingly cared for and appears to be only a good investment for its owners. We loved Charleston but would never stay here again.
