The house and the location are as advertised but the owner of the property stopped by at random times as if to catch us doing something wrong. Enjoyed the trip but don't expect to get your full deposit returned even if the house is left in satisfactory condition. |

For the price, we expected more. Pots & pans were very old, rusty and broken handles. T-Fal pans were scratched and peeling and unsafe to use. Ants were in the kitchen and in our food on the counter. Kitchen utensils were junk. Gas grill was old and rusty. No soap or toilet paper. The owner came by several times as if to catch us doing something wrong. (We are retired educators). On each visit, the owner would repeat the rules of the rental agreement. Our checkout time was on Saturday at 10:00 am. The owner arrived exactly at that time and basically escorted us out of the house. We vacation each year in Destin and have never encountered a situation like this. In the future, we will not stay at this vacation rental. |

Terrible property owner! Surprise visit one night at 9:00 pm to 'check on us' and dropped by several times a day to 'check on the pool'. It seemed as though she was trying to catch us doing something wrong. No toilet paper or soap. Towels, comforters and bed linens are all worn out and should be thrown away. Kitchen utensils and pots & pans are junk. Electric can opener did not work nor did the blender. Tv's in bedrooms are not hooked up to cable. On our last day we saw a huge black snake curled up in front of the entry door. Too many negatives for the price of renting this property. Don't make the same mistake we did. Property owner makes it too stressful to enjoy your vacation. |
