But what is most special is that you can launch most any boat or watercraft into the adjacent ocean, pond, canal, or sound/waterway. So bring your skiff, paddleboat, rowboat, triple engine tournament craft, kayak, canoe, zodiac, sailboat, jet ski, surf board, windsurfer, raft, float toy, skim board, boogie board, motor boat, or rent one when you get here!
Take a short walk down our quiet cul-de-sac, through the sand dune, and begin your beach experience like no other. It is pristine, private, (except for an occasional surf fisherman, beach comber, or jogger), undeveloped (no homes on the oceanfront for miles,) and naturally beautiful in every season. ….Or walk out the back door to launch your boat from the private ramp or boat slip (most any number or size !!) into the quiet community deep water (seven feet) canal.
Third Floor: Quiet indoor leisure time with your group centers around the large, open living area which includes the great room with vaulted ceilings, expansive kitchen-dining room, and furnished screened porch. Here you can enjoy games, cable TV, movies (VCR and DVD), stereo music, large group dining and entertaining, high speed internet activities at the computer station (with computer, monitor, fax, copier, scanner, printer), grilling on the screen porch, even dancing on the hardwood-like floors present throughout this level. The top floor also has a laundry room with washer and dryer and a half bathroom.
The family room has a queen size sleeper sofa and an adjacent small bedroom with pyramid bunk bed and a deck with an ocean view. The bedroom sleeps three and is good for children who want to stay up late or an aging parent. There is an ocean view and deck which is accessible from the kitchen. The reverse floor plan provides the most impressive views of the environs for bird watchers, nature lovers, and for the curious. Amenities for the very young include a porta crib, high chair, three baby gates, and a wagon for a ride to the beach.
Second Floor: Three bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and a computer/ workstation, one with a full bed, and a master suite with a king size bed and a queen sleeper sofa are located on the second level. There are two full bathrooms - one is off the main hallway and one is part of the master suite. The master bedroom spans from the front of the house with an ocean view sun deck (furnished) and a large sound view covered deck with a hot tub and a porch swing. (There is a $75 charge to fill the hot tub from November to May.) It also has cable TV, VCR, stereo, tape player, and tuner. A computer/workstation with internet access on a mobile module is part of the master suite.
First Floor: The ground level features kids' or teenagers' suite with cable TV and a VCR and two small dorm size bedrooms which sleeps four in four single built in bunk beds and three in a pyramid bunk (single on top and a full daybed -sofa on the bottom.) The two separate bedrooms share a full bathroom. The floor has full ceramic tile and area rugs. There are two outside access doors either through the closed garage (with remote control door) or to the back yard/patio where there is a shower with hot and cold water that is enclosed for privacy. A third door leads upstairs. The ground level has its own air conditioner and dehumidifier.
Backyard: Outside in the back there is a landscaped fenced in yard and playground and patio-deck with a shaded hammock in the breezeway and an air swing. The patio is furnished and it has a barbecue grill. There is a volley ball court and a portable basketball goal that can be pulled to the asphalt cul-de-sac.
Beyond the back yard the canal is bulk headed and there is a double sized boat slip to accommodate a 38 foot vessel and one or two other small ones, and boat dock and a private launching ramp (15 feet wide). The canal has recently been dredged and is five feet deep at low tide. The one car under-house garage with remote door opener and the large driveway and Cul-de-sac can accommodate nine + cars.
45 minutes from historic Wilmington. Incredible golfing and fishing.
