Mountain View Lodges is located in Upper Michigan's Silver City on the shore of Lake Superior. Just 1 mile from The Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. We offer 11 luxury cabins that sleep a family of 6 very comfortably. They all have 2 bedrooms, a full bath, fully equipped kitchen (even a dishwasher) wood-burning fireplace, cable TV, VCR, WIFI, screened porch, nice deck and Weber BBQ grill. We have fire rings placed on the beach for an evening fire while watching the magnificent sunsets. If you're out late, you may even see The Northern Lights?
There are miles of sandy, clean beaches to walk and swim. It is a rock hounders paradise. The water is crystal clear. Ontonagon County beaches were rated one of the top 10 cleanest beaches in the country.
The fishing on Lake Superior is FANTASTIC. You can go after a variety of species that include: Lake Trout, Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Coho, Walleye, Pike, and many more. There are 2 public access sites within the Silver City area. One is at the mouth of the Big Iron River, the other is in the Park. Silver City is a quaint little town that offers small shops, restaurants and the awesome power of the Big Lake. If visiting waterfalls is on your agenda,Ontonagon County has over 100.
Springtime is the best time to visit these thunderous falls. The Northwoods are coming to life.
Summer is the time to lay out on the beach or hike the Porkies. There are over 80 miles of true wilderness hiking trails. The Park offers many guided hikes and interpretive programs and tours to enhance your experience. The wildlife is abundant! You may even run across one of our many resident black bear? True wilderness at its best.
Fall color is spectacular. I can't even begin to explain. The colors are vivid yellows, golds, reds and oranges. The area is just gorgeous. The hunting seasons starts now. Hire a guide and take off after a black bear or deer hunt in your favorite spot.
Winter is the time for awesome Winter Sports and Activities. Whether snowmobiling, down-hill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing the inland lakes, or just sitting around in your cabin enjoying a warm fire and a glass of wine, Mountain View Lodges welcomes you. We are located right on the snowmobile trail and only 3 miles from the ski hill.
The Park offers guided snow-shoe hikes and lantern-light cross-country skiing on the weekends.
If you really want to get away from it all, to relax and unwind, this is the place. There is no traffic, your cell phone won't work up here. Come up, relax and unwind. This is the PERFECT PLACE!

We have a 3 night minimum stay. 50% deposit upon making a reservation. 30 day cancellation policy.

We offer 4 pet friendly cabins ($40.00 pet fee)
