Directions: All visitors to Matakauri Lodge will first approach Queenstown via Frankton Road. At the second round about -rotary- turn left onto Shotover Street, and continue onto Lake Esplanade then follow the signage heading north towards Glenorchy. Follow that road along the lakes edge -keeping the lake on your left- for 4.5 miles. Look for the sign Welcome to Closeburn - we are 150 metres beyond this sign. Look on the left hand side of the road for a side road sign-posted in yellow Matakauri Lodge. Follow the signage to lodge and reception. |
