Laughing Bear Cabin is a picture-perfect historic log cabin nestled in the forests of the Cascade Mountains. It is ready for your cozy weekend getaway in the heart of Mt Hood's year-round recreation area. And it's an easy 47 mile drive east of Portland, Oregon on scenic Highway 26.

If you have been searching for a Mountain memory-making experience, you'll find it at Laughing Bear.

All you have to do is pack your clothes, personal belongings and food...the cabin is ready for a comfortable stay with all the conveniences of home. (We can even provide groceries service if you like.)

Laughing Bear Cabin is a historic piece of Mt. Hood, Oregon's rustic beauty. The Steiner family who also helped to build Timberline Lodge in Oregon built the cabin in 1930. Located under old an growth canopy next to Zig Zag River and Still Creek in Rhododendron on ¾ acres of private land at the 1,500 foot elevation. This is a non-smoking facility. Some pets are negotiable and require an additional deposit.

Rental Policies and Forms of Payment
There is a two night minimum stay at this cabin. Check in is at 4:00 PM and check out is at 12:00 PM. Payment is due in full within 10 days from the time the reservation is made. Pets are negotiable and will require a separate deposit of $100 per animal. Any cancellations must be made two weeks prior to the arrival date of the reseration.
