Thomas McElroy built this beautiful Greek Revival Plantation Home on nearly 600 acres and presented it as a Wedding Gift to his young bride, Sarah Maxwell. Lavished with numerous architectural features, it is accented with Italianate detail, spans over 7,000 sq. ft., with 14' ceilings, 12' doorways, 9' windows, 13 original rooms - most are 20' x 20' with some even larger, and a grand cherry floating spiral staircase.
Its colorful past includes stories of an Antebellum Plantation, use as a Confederate Hospital, the Childhood Home to Phil Simms - former NY Giants Quarterback and Super Bowl XXI's MVP, a popular Dinner Hall, and Children's Home. Today it is an award-winning Bed & Breakfast, Wedding/Special Events Showplace, Alpaca & Llama Farm, and Handcrafted Gift Gallery: Manor Cottage Gifts.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and considered a Kentucky Landmark Home.
This working farm is stately set on 14 tranquil acres in the heart of Kentucky's scenic Bluegrass Region (an hour southeast of Louisville and an hour southwest of Lexington), and the home is considered one of the best preserved Antebellum Homes in the Commonwealth.
The main foyer, which measures 12' wide and 45' long, is dominated by the original, freestanding, cherry spiral staircase and lighted by the smallest of three chandeliers from the early 1900s.
Awaken to the delightful strains of chamber music and the wafting aromas of freshly brewed coffee and hot-from-the-oven muffins, as the day begins with a specially prepared breakfast served on fine china in the dining room.
In the evening, relax with us under the soft light of the elegant chandelier and enjoy a complimentary homemade dessert and beverage. A spacious parlor/communal area offers cozy surroundings for a game of cards, puzzle making or curling up with a good book.
Outside you will find rockers on the front porch, benches, and a large patio area set among old maple trees. Stroll our flower gardens with fountains, nature reserve, and Alpaca Fields. Numerous bird feeders are located near the house attracting a variety of songbirds. A picnic table and grill are available for guest use. Depending on harvest time, guests are encouraged to pick from the 100 tree orchard of apples, peaches, pears, and plums. We also grow grapes, raspberries, and blueberries for Guest indulgence during breakfast. Enjoy our farm animals - we raise Alpacas, Llamas, and Pygmy Goats.

Simply, invite 8-20 of your closest friends or family members for a truly unique group social at Maple Hill Manor. We'll help you coordinate your party by providing the place, invitations, list of characters, suggested costume ideas, a dinner menu, and deluxe B&B Accommodations. We even take care of all the preparations, cooking, and cleaning - it's just that easy. We do all the work . . . you enjoy all the fun!

Weekend Rate Discounted 5% or $869/night: Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
Weekday Rate Discounted 10% or $825/night: Monday - Thursday
Example: Based on 14 people in your party for a Weekend Date . . . Game, Dinner, Gratuity, and Accommodations with Full Country Breakfast is only $97/person OR $194/couple . . . ($869 divided by 14 people/7 couples = $62/person for accommodations and breakfast + $35/game, dinner, and gratuity).

Steps Involved?
1. Check for Full House Availability
2. Talk it up with your group of Family, Friends, Co-Workers. Call to make your reservation - credit card number is required to reserve your date, no charges until the time of your stay. Each person or couple can pay at that time for their portion using their preferred payment method: cash, check, or credit card.
3. Murder Mystery Package will be sent to you which will include an overview of the Game, Character Listing, Suggested Costumes, and Dinner Menu.
4. Character Assignments, Costumes, and Room selections are at your discretion.
5. Call Maple Hill Manor at least one-week prior to your event date with final menu selections.
6. Arrive on your scheduled date and ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE!

| Rental Policies and Forms of Payment

- Each additional person age 12 and above, add $25
- Children under age 12 are welcome and only $12/child/night - with advance notice.
- Smoking is NOT allowed INSIDE due to the historic nature of the home. Smoking IS allowed OUTSIDE.
- Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Personal Checks, Travelers Checks, VISA, and Gift Certificates.
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted - you are welcome to bring your own.
- Deposit Amount Required: Room held with Credit Card or Personal Check (received) - 50% deposit required.
- Discounts available: Business Travel (2 days, 10%), Extended Stay (5 days, 15%)
- No minimum stay required.
- Check In time is anytime after 4:00 P.M. and Check Out time is by 12:00 NOON.
- Cancellation: Unless given 7 day notice (7 days prior to arrival date) of room cancellation, deposit must be forfeited plus a $25 processing fee. Provided a 7 day notice of cancellation is given, all monies less a $25 processing fee will be refunded. (A ONE-MONTH advance notice is required for Murder Mysteries or any other event requiring a Full House Rental - otherwise the 50% deposit PLUS a $25 processing fee will be charged.)
- Trip Cancellation Plan AVAILABLE - request when making reservation: If you have to cancel up to 3pm EST the day of your arrival, you get a FULL REFUND of your DEPOSIT. The cost of the plan is only 10% of your reserved room rate.
Maple Hill Manor Pet Policy
I, THE UNDERSIGNED, AGREE:
1. To never leave my pet unattended in my guest room in any common room, or anywhere on the inn's premises. (Should you need a pet sitter, please ask us.)
2. To always have my pet on a lease when on the premises of the inn and outside my guest room.
3. That my pet is well-behaved and will not disturb other guests (e.g., barking, meowing).
4. To be responsible for any and all damage caused to my guest room, including but not limited to stains and/or odors, damage to furnishings (e.g., chewing or scratching or tearing).
5. That my pet is house-broken.
6. That my pet is at least six months old, no more than 3 1/2 feet tall, and no more than 50 lbs.
7. To clean up after my pet at all times (using my own towels/linens and never the inn's towels/linens to do this).
8. To never allow my pet to use the bedding for any reason at any time, and to never allow my pet to sleep on or in the bed. I agree to pay cleaning charges if necessary.
9. That my guest room will be checked prior to my departure, and that if I leave prior to a room check and there is any damage to the room that the inn is authorized to charge any and all expenses for any damage to my room or common areas to my credit card.
10. To pay a $25.00 per day charge for each pet. |
