This beautiful luxury oceanview home in Reading/Montego Bay, Jamaica sits on nine acres on the slope of a mountain with impressive views of Montego Bay and the Caribbean. The main house was constructed in 1930 by the editor of The New Yorker magazine. The villa is close to the airport, beaches, and tourist activities, but still provides privacy and exclusivity.
Datura's large swimming pool and hot tub offer guests a private sun bathing and water experience. Special water treatment allows the pool to be chlorine-free -- no chlorine on your skin! The pool overlooks the gorgeous Caribbean so you can watch the marine life as you relax.
An expansive terrace is delightful for sunbathing, watching the sun set, daytime dining, and after-dinner cocktails under the stars and twinkling lights of Montego Bay.
The large, airy living room has a high, coffered ceiling, a game table and a library of "good reads." The TV sitting room provides another location for conversation and entertainment. Cable television and a DVD/VCR are installed. The dining room is screened and offers garden, water and expansive views. Dining tables can be extended for large groups or reduced for more intimate and romantic settings .
The Datura staff is both well trained and experienced. They provide full service which includes meal serving, daily maid cleaning of rooms, complimentary personal laundry, and bath and beach towels.
