In Haiti you can relax on the beach, go for a horseback ride, bird watch and hike. If you are in the mood for shopping, Cathédrale de Port-au-Prince is ideal and if you would like to see the work of some of the country's most famous artists, Cathédrale de la Ste Trinité is the place to go. The Musée National features King Christophe's suicide pistol and a rusty anchor allegedly to have been salvaged from Columbus' Santa Maria. Pétionville is filled with glittering shops, clubs and restaurants. The Jane Barbancourt Distillery in Boutiller is a few miles east of Port-au-Prince and makes nearly two dozen varieties of rum. Here you can test the different varieties and purchase bottles at great prices.
