Guam, as a U.S. territory, has been Westernized enough to include tourist spots with luxury hotels, beach resorts, and fast food chains. Seven world-class golf courses, parasailing, windsurfing, swimming, fishing, sky diving, fishing, submarine tours, and SCUBA diving are also available for travelers to Guam. Yet there still remains much of the traditional Chamorro culture, with over 100 locations listed on the Registers of Historical Sites. It was under Spanish rule for over 300 years, and sunken galleons are still found in the waters surrounding the island.
