Domaine de Bassibe is an elegant country house, situated on the borders of the Gers and the Lauds Region, between Aire sur Adour and Pau, not far from Bordeaux, Tourlouse and the western Pyrenes. It's the quintessential Relais de Carupagne. Very quiet and warm country inn. Old 18th century house in a 4 Ha Parc and Garden. Earthen red tiles and elegant white facades gleaming in the afternoon sun, sylvan green ivy creepers framing the shutters: the colors of this spacious, picturesque residence appear to have been lifted from an artist's palette. Dinner, served in the old wine press or beneath the plane trees, features the rich traditional cuisine of the Gers region enhanced by excellent local wines: Madiran, Jarancon and Tursan.
