The largest and the least commercialized Caribbean island is Cuba. Due to its relative political isolation the island has been prevented from being overrun by tourists. Cuba is quiet and relaxed and even more so on the beaches and the backcountry. Havana is Cuba’s main attraction which has a swinging nightlife and friendly locals. Baracoa is a laid back town with a palm tree lined coast. It features three forts that are now a museum, restaurant and hotel. There are many festivals in Cuba including the Festival of Caribbean Culture, the Havana Carnival, Semana de la Cultura and a handful more.
