Forest Creek is a beautiful cozy cabin or vacation home located in Colorado's mountain wilderness. A secluded place for skiers, snowboarders, hikers, whitewater rafters, writers, naturalists, or those seeking tranquility.
This mountain style cabin was built in 1999 and has 2460 square feet. The front porch and balcony have a close up view of Monarch Ridge towering above. There is also a back porch and balcony, with a cascading stream running below and the Rocky Craig in the near distance.
Inside you are welcomed into a great room with cathedral ceilings accented with an Empire gas stove.
Beside the great room there is an open dining room with a completely equipped kitchen.
The master bedroom located downstairs has a French door leading to the back porch. For a treat try the slipper tub for a relaxing bath.
Upstairs you enter a sleeping loft with two full size beds with a French door leading to the front balcony's majestic views. There are two bedrooms with French doors leading to the balcony overlooking the river. The west bedroom has a full bed. The east bedroom has a king and a bunk bed. A full bath is located upstairs.

Monarch Cabins Policies
- Rates are based on per cabin
- 3 night minimum stay required
- Above rates are excluding lodging tax
- Weekly rates are based on a 10% discount
Reservations:

- If we are unable to take your call, please leave a message with your day and night time telephone numbers. We keep our Cabin Availability on our website updated with confirmed reservations.
- Two-night minimum stay is required.
--To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit is due within 10 days after your reservation is made or your reservation will be cancelled.
- Three weeks before your arrival please return:
- Lease Agreement: Click here for printable Lease Agreement forms. Be sure to sign & date your form before mailing.
- Security Deposit: A personal check for $300.00 is due three weeks before your stay made payable to Taylor Rentals. This check will be returned to you if no damage has occurred or excessive cleaning is required. Also, all conditions of the cabin should be met before your departure. Smoking or pets inside the cabins are prohibited or you will forfeit your security deposit if this occurs. If you break or damage anything on the property, please report damages before your departure.
Balance Due: Check or money order made payable to Taylor Rentals for the remainder of your balance. Also accepted are Credit Cards.
*** Please make sure you mail lease agreement, security deposit and balance three weeks before your stay. This will allow time for postal services and Monarch Cabins to send directions.
- Reservation Cancellation:
A refund will be given with 60 days cancellation notice. With less than a 60-day cancellation notice a refund will only be made if the space can be rebooked. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions. All cancellations are subject to a $50 handling charge.

- Winter Season Driving In The Snow & Ice:
The mountains are dangerous in inclement weather. We advise everyone staying November to April to come prepared for winter driving. No refunds are issued due to weather conditions. Four wheel drive vehicle or snow chains are required for Forest Creek and Sleepy Hollow in winter. The Bear's Den does not require four wheel drive vehicles. No transportation is available to or from your cabin. Four wheel drive vehicles are available for rent in Salida.
- Sorry, no pets or group parties.
- All cabins are non-smoking.
- Check-In Time: 3:00 p.m.
- Check-Out Time: 10:00 a.m.
- Some Suggestions: Things you might want to bring are paper towels, Kleenex, trash bags, charcoal & lighter for the grill, condiments, coffee & filters, dish washing soap, detergent & fabric softener. We furnish dial soap in a hand pump dispenser for bathing. |
