Relax and enjoy the waterfront view on one of the 5 cottages available at Club Scorpio. Each cottage is painted in eye catching colors (peach, yellow, lavender, blue and green) with the beautiful back drop of the aqua water. Sip an island cocktail and relax on your own private porch and watch the sunset over crystal clear waters. You may even catch a "green flash" or two if you stay long enough. Cottages are intiment and romantic and perfect for couples who want to get away from it all. Each one bedroom cottage has air conditioning, refrigerator, satellite TV, private bath, sitting room and balcony. To let you relax and leave your cares behind, the cottages do not have telephone, fax, and internet service. These conveniences are located at the Club Scorpio Restaurant and bar should you need them during your stay. A complementary breakfast is included with all cottage rentals.
Black Point is the biggest settlement in the Northern Exumas and is also the center of the local government. Club Scorpio has 5 charming waterfront cottages, a restaurant and bar serving Bahamian cuisine. Native dishes include cracked conch, fresh grouper fingers and locally caught lobster. A wide range of supplies are offered just down the road at Ruby's Market. Here you will find guava jam made right here in the Bahamas. Many ladies in the community sell their hand-made straw work in the store fronts - you can even catch them at their work if you look in the shade of the palm trees. There are endless beaches to comb on the eastern shore with wonderful snorkeling and shell hunting; the water is the most beautiful shade of turquoise you will ever see. The weather is always at its best in Black Point. No matter what time of year you chose to travel to the Exumas, you will discover warm, pleasant weather. In the summer months the average temperature is 85 degrees (F). In the winter months the average air temperature is in the mid 70's with water temperatures a wonderful 70-80 degrees all year long.
One of Black Point's biggest attractions is its friendly people. Whether it's the kids playing around town or the fisherman bring in his catch, the people of Black Point always greet you with a smile. Great Guana is still a small island as are most of the islands in the Exuma chain, but the island has most of what anyone could need: a church, post office, library, retail shops, food markets and restaurants. Since Black Point has in own airstrip it allows for quick and easy access to Nassau and Florida. So come and join us in Black Point you won't be disappointed.
Club Scorpio also has apartments for rent as well, if your stay in Black Point should be extended. Two apartments are centrally located, yet steps from our beautiful sandy beaches.
