Our Caribbean vacation home can be your island paradise. The gentle ocean breezes keep the inside temperature comfortable all year round and the house is kept spotless by our fine cook/maid Paulina and our maintenance people.

The rooftop Galleria is a favorite place for relaxation, eating and sleeping in the rope hammock. The front porch is great for watching the action in the lane below. The beach is a mere 100 yards away and is in a lovely horseshoe shape, the mountains are just behind. There are always flowers in bloom. The local foods and fruits (prepared fresh each day by Paulina) are perfect after a 'hard day at the beach'. You'll love Villa Del Sol.

Our house and the city

We are 13 miles from the airport and 4 miles from the city center. Puerto Plata is a city of about 100,000 and a seaport. Our area is Playa Cofresi. It is very safe and the beach is one of the best in the DR. Sitting on the beach and watching all the activity and the characters is an experience in itself.

If you are interested in amber (think Jurassic Park) Puerto Plata is where it all happened.
