Barrier Dunes is a gated, gulfside community that is pet & family friendly! There are 2 pools--one is gulf front with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico and white sand beaches voted #1 in the USA by Dr. Stephen Leatherman in 2002! Barrier Dunes also has lighted tennis courts, a playground, pet stations, boardwalks & 3 fresh water fishing ponds!
This vacation home has everything you need to make your next vacation complete. Located in Cape San Blas, FL close to the beach & equipped with tons of amenities. 100 steps from the Gulf Front Pool!
The upper floor has an oversized master suite (great for a romantic beach getaway!) with king bed, private porch, walk-in closet, double sinks in dressing area, bathroom with separate shower and garden tub. The master also has cable TV, ceiling fan, portable phone, and alarm clock. There is also a full laundry room with a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. We try to ensure that there is also laundry soap for your convenience!
On the lower floor you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, bar and stools, 2nd bedroom (Queen)!, large back deck with grill and full bathroom. Inside the kitchen: fully stocked with refrigerator with icemaker, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dishes and pots and pans. Kitchen also has a portable phone and answering machine.
The dining room contains seating for 4 with an additional 2 bar stools. Relax in the living room which boasts a queen sleeper sofa, love seat, coffee table for playing games, cable TV, VCR, children's video tapes, puzzles, several games and a large deck!

Things We Love to Do When We Visit Cape San Blas!
Fishing - From the 3 fresh water fishing ponds/lakes in Barrier Dunes, the surf, the bay or taking out a charter boat!
Crabbing - We eat 2-3 meals from the crabs we catch while we are there. See our web site for instructions!
Scalloping - Scallop season is July 1 to Sept. 10. You can scallop right out in the bay and have access from St. Joseph Peninsula State Park just outside of the Gates to Barrier Dunes!
Boating - Take a pontoon boat out in the bay and spend the day snorkeling, fishing, watching the dolphins, crabs, stingrays, horse shoe crabs and other critters. You can also take out a kayak or canoe, which you can rent right on the Cape (Scallop Cove).
Horsebacking Riding ON THE BEACH: It's an awesome thing to do the kids and romatic at sunset with just the spouse! Yes! They meet you on the Cape and you can ride in the surf!

Once you call or e-mail me with a request to reserve a date, a contract will be e-mailed to you. The signed contract and a $300 deposit (which converts to a fully refundable damage deposit) are due within 5 days to secure your reservation.
Above rates do not include a $7 cleaning fee and Florida Tax. Rates do include all linens! Monthly rates are available in the Fall and Winter. Discounts will apply. Please contact us if you would like to discuss a warmer climate this winter! Snowbirds are very welcome.
