The Barefoot Resort is accessible from the Rapid City Regional Airport. It sits at an elevation of 6,500 feet and is located directly across from South Dakota's major ski area, Terry Peak. Barefoot Condominiums, originally built in 1980, is named after, Little Barefoot the old mining claim that surrounds the area.The resort amenities include two indoor pools, three outdoor hot tubs, two saunas, two workout facilities, an outdoor sports court, and small arcade. All linens are provided. Daily cleaning service is not included but is available upon request and cost will vary depending on unit size. The Barefoot offers a smoke free environment and does not allow pets. Not all units at the Barefoot have air-conditioning due to mild summer temperatures and cool evenings. Gas grills are available to use year around. Convenience Store and check-in desk is open from 7 AM to 11P M. The store also offers a small video rental shop, and gift shop. Resort laundry facilities are available for guests staying in the Summit View Building.The Summit View and Vista Peak guest rooms are equipped with amenities like TV-VCR, a queen bed, glassware, dishwasher, cookware, and gas fireplace. In Alpine Chalet/Cabin Four Bedroom fully furnished home is equipped with full kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator and many small appliances including an iron, crock-pot and blender). The cabin is stocked with linens, dishes, glassware and a variety of cooking utensils. A spacious master bedroom has one king bed, a large closet and full bathroom.The Alpine Villa offers two bedroom fully furnished condominiums which includes full kitchen with dishwasher, TV/VCR/DVD, microwave, washer/dryer and many small appliances. Units are stocked with linens, dishes, glassware and a variety of cooking utensils.
