The main entry to the old city of Nafplio was from the Pylis OF Xiras (Gate of land). Next to the current KTEL, the main street of the old city of Nafplio hides all the charm of the mansions of the second Venetian domination and leads to the graphic square of Saint Spyridona. A church built in 1802 where in its wall is still distinguished the hole from the bullet of Mayromixaleon that took the life of Kapodistria. Opposite and towards the left is a beautiful Turkish fountain embellished with Arabic letters, which hide behind it the bath of the level grounded room of Amfitriti. Precisely next to it are the small steps that lead to reception and to the remaining graphical rooms. Amfitriti: Amfitriti is one of the fifty Nereids, daughter of Nirea and Doridas. In the Odyssey she is described as the female personification of sea, as Neptune is the male corresponding personification. Amfitriti became Neptunes spouse and with him gave birth to the Tritones (male marine deities, half persons and half fish.) According to the legacy: Neptune had seen Amfitriti dancing with the other Nereids in Naxos. He fell madly in love with her and he decided to steal her. Amfitriti wanting to avoid him, resorted to Atlas to the utmost limits of the sea. Neptune sent the dolphin to seek her, which found her and brought her close to him. As remuneration, the god of the sea gave the dolphin constellation in order for it to live for all eternity. Amfitriti was worshipped with great acknowledgments in many cities of Ancient Greece - mainly coastal cities such as the Cyclades, Lesvos, Thassos and elsewhere. The figure of the beautiful Nereid inspired many artists from the ancient years and up to today. Her usual representation is of her seating on the ridge of the dolphin holding in her hand a trident.

In the pension Amfitriti you will find five rooms of luxury Muses The room with the name "Muses" is the loft of pension. Coloured with a cinnamon tint, the room is found on the fourth floor. Its uniqueness is the wooden balcony which has a view of the graphic roofs of old city and the beautiful blue sky. The room has two levels that link with internal steps. The first level has a meticulous table with chairs for romantic morning or dinner meals, while in the second level is where the bedroom is placed. Nymphes The room Nymphes is found on the third floor of pension. In this room the colour purple is its main characteristic. The atmosphere is magical and particularly the wooden balcony which is found literally on the square of Saint Spiridona. Danaides The room "Danaides" is found on the second floor of the pension and its the yellow room. Its particular characteristic is that it is separated in two levels that are linked with internal steps. Nereids The room with the name "Nereids" has the magical blue colour and it is found on the first floor of the pension. Amadryades The room "Amadryades" has all the colorations of the green forest (as known Amadryades were the brides of the forest). What really distinguishes and mesmerizes the guests of the pension is the splendid bounded bath with its build in benches that are found behind the beautiful Turkish fountain with the impressive embossed Arabic letters.
